My First Eyelash Extension Experience at Cosmo Beaute 2016

Pada acara Cosmo Beaute 2016 saya sempat mengunjungi salah satu booth yang mempromosikan Eyelash Extension. Kebetulan saat itu saya sedang keliling dan melihat-lihat booth lalu salah satu staff dari sebuah booth menghampiri saya. Saya agak kaget karena saat itu staff tersebut berbicara dengan bahasa Inggris. Staff tersebut menceritakan tentang produk mereka yang merupakan sebuah produk Eyelash Extension.

Kebetulan saya tidak begitu tahu tentang Eyelash Extension selain dari baca-baca sedikit mengenai topik tersebut di beberapa blog beauty blogger. Staff tersebut menceritakan apa itu eyelash extension dan menunjukkan hasilnya melalui foto-foto di brosur. Saat itu mereka juga menawarkan untuk memasangkan eyelash extension karena mereka memang sedang mengadakan free demo selama pameran Cosmo Beaute berlangsung. Kebetulan saya tertarik untuk mecoba setelah melihat hasil eyelash extension yang juga dipakai oleh staff tersebut karena hasil aslinya terlihat sangat natural. Setelah mereka tahu bahwa saya juga seorang lifestyle blogger, mereka makin menyemangati saya untuk mencoba :D.

Sebelum saya dipasangkan eyelash extension, saya harus berkonsultasi dengan Miss Cherlyn Ng yang merupakan trainer dan owner dari Carragheen SkinCare Boutique. Miss Cherlyn menanyakan beberapa pertanyaan seputar kegiatan saya sehari-hari, sebelum akhirnya kami lanjut ke bagian tipe eyelash extension seperti apa yang saya inginkan dan yang tentunya sesuai dengan bentuk mata saya. Sebenarnya saya ingin tipe yang lebih panjang di akhir mata namun kata Miss Cherlyn tipe tersebut terlalu over untuk jenis mata saya. Saya puas dengan sesi konsultasi karena miss Cherlyn pun ikut memberikan saran tipe eyelash extension yang memang cocok untuk jenis mata saya. Pilihan eyelash extention yang akan saya gunakan jatuh pada seri C dengan tipe ROMANTIC (0.20 mm) dimana tipe ini memberikan efek lentik yang natural mengikuti bulu mata asli kita.

Sekilas tentang Carragheen SkinCare Boutique, Carragheen berdiri pada tahun 1999 oleh Cherlyn Ng. Carragheen SkinCare Boutique merupakan one stop beauty yang menyediakan treatment untuk tubuh dan kecantikan yang dirancang bagi para perempuan masa kini yang dihadapkan pada tuntutan perubahan gaya hidup. Carragheen SkinCare Boutique ini berada di 12A Liang Seah Street #02-01 Singapore.

Saya juga sempat bertanya tentang produk dari Carragheen, terutama bahan dari eyelash extentasion. Untuk produk bulu eyelash extentasion, Carragheen memakai bahan polyester sintetik dan sutra. Bahan sintetik memiliki tingkat kemungkinan alergi yang rendah di kulit manusia. Produk eyelash extension ini di produksi di Jepang dan Korea. Lem yang digunakan untuk menempelkan eyelash extension juga tidak berbau dan aman digunakan.

Proses Pemasangan Eyelashes Extension

Pemakaian eyelashes extension sendiri di tempel beberapa milimeter agak jauh dari akar bulu mata sehingga tidak menyebabkan kerontokan yang parah pada bulu mata. Jika di rawat dengan benar, eyelashes extension bisa bertahan sampai sekitar 1-2 bulan dari waktu dipasang. Carragheen juga menyediakan produk perawatan khusus untuk pemakai eyelashes extension agar extension dapat bertahan lebih lama.

Pemakaian bulu eyelashes extension berlangsung sekitar 1 jam untuk tipe yang natural. Sebelum proses dimulai, bulu mata saya di bersihkan terlebih dahulu agar kondisinya bersih dan steril. Selama pemakaian eyelashes extension, saya sempat hampir ketiduran karena rasanya tidak sakit sama sekali ataupun menganggu. Saya juga disuruh memberi tahu staff jika saya merasa tidak nyaman selama proses berlangsung. Staff-nya juga memberikan penjelasan bertahap sambil melakukan proses eyelashes extension.

Setelah proses eyelashes extension selesai, saya juga diberikan arahan untuk merawat eyelashes extension saya. Saya disarankan untuk meminimalisir kontak mata dengan air selama 24 jam untuk memastikan lem benar-benar mengering. Selama 48 jam saya disarankan untuk tidak berenang, sauna atau melakukan olah raga air. Saya boleh memakai eyeliner, eyeshadow namun tidak dianjurkan memakai mascara. Pembersihan make up mata juga disarankan memakai water-based product daripada menggunakan oil-based product agar lem extension tidak copot. Saya juga tidak disarankan memakai penjepit bulu mata karena akan mengakibatkan bulu mata saya patah.

Setelah Pemasangan Eyelashes Extension

Saya puas dengan hasilnya pemasangan eyelashes extension karena hasilnya sangat natural dan mata saya terlihat lebih hidup. Eyelashes extension ini juga sukses membuat banyak orang bertanya bulu mata saya ini asli apa palsu? Ahahaha. Pada awal pemakaian memang terasa tidak biasa, seperti bulu mata saya jadi lebih berat namun lama-kelamaan saya mulai terbiasa. Saya juga lebih cepat berdandan sehari-hari karena tidak perlu menjepit bulu mata dan memakai mascara. Saya juga tidak perlu memakai eyeliner karena bulu mata yang lebat sudah membuat mata saya menjadi fokus perhatian.

Pembersihan wajah menjadi lebih hati-hati sih karena saya tidak ingin eyelashes extension ini cepat rontok. Saya memakai handuk kecil yang dibasahi dengan air untuk membersihkan wajah saya. Dua minggu setelah pemakaian beberapa helai eyelashes extension rontok, hal tersebut masih dalam batas wajar. Namun semakin lama eyelashes extension semakin kuat dan lebih tahan air. Sampai sekarang terhitung 3 minggu dari pemasangan, eyelash extension-nya masih bertahan di mata saya dan masih telihat lentik. Saya juga menyikat bulu mata saya dengan spoiley agar eyelashes extension lebih terlihat lebih rapi.

Kesimpulan

Saya puas dengan proses konsultasi dan pemasangan eyelashes extension karena Trainer benar-benar membantu saya memilih tipe bulu mata yang cocok dengan bentuk mata. Hasilnya juga natural dan membuat saya selalu ingin lihat kaca tiap kali bangun pagi heheheh. Pihak Carragheen juga memberikan saya kartu nama dan kontak yang bisa dihubungi jika saya punya pertanyaan tentang eyelashes extension.

Saya jadi lebih cepat dandan setelah menggunakan eyelashes extension. Eyelashes extension dari Carragheen SkinCare Boutique masih awet sampai 3 minggu lebih asalkan diperhatikan perawatannya. Saya harus extra hati-hati dalam membersihkan wajah setelah pemasangan eyelashes extension.

Saya lebih menyarankan pemasangan eyelashes extension dilakukan menjelang hari raya atau hari besar untuk menunjang penampilan. Harga untuk eyelashes extension berkisar dari Rp 600.000,00 untuk sekali pemasangan dan harga ini diluar dari paket produk perawatan eyelashes extension. My First Eyelash Extension Experience

When I was at Cosmo Beaute Event, I visited a booth that promoted their Eyelash Extension. I was looking around there until someone talked to me about Eyelash Extension. I was surprised she talk in English, so I assumed they are not from Indonesia.

To be honest, I don’t really know about Eyelash Extension, I just knew a little by reading it on several blogs.  She explained about Eyelash Extension and show me some result from her brochure. She also offered me to try the Eyelash Extension because they gave a free demo during the Cosmo Beaute event. I interested to try after looking the real result in her own eyelashes. Her eyelash Extension looked very natural. They also excited when they know I am a lifestyle blogger.

Before I got my Eyelash Extension, I did the consultation with Miss Cherlyn Ng as a trainer and owner of Carragheen SkinCare Boutique. Miss Cherlyn asked me about my daily activity before we continued to pick the right Eyelash Extension for my eyes type. I told her that I want the natural type. I also wanted to have a longer Eyelash Extension at the end of my eyes, but Miss Cherlyn said that it would look too much on my eyes types. I was glad because Miss Cherlyn also gave me nice advice to pick the right Eyelash Extension for me. She picked C series (0.20 mm) ROMANTIC type, the type that creates a rounded curve that flows with the natural contour of the eyelash.

A little about Carragheen SkinCare Boutique, it was established in 1999 by Cherlyn Ng. Carragheen established as one stop beauty that provides body and beauty treatment for today’s woman who faces the changing lifestyle demands. Carragheen SkinCare Boutique was located in 12A Liang Seah Street #02-01, Singapore.

I also asked about their products, especially about Eyelash Extension hair. Carragheen uses synthesis polyester and silk. They use Synthetics because it has the least possible chance of an allergic reaction with human skin. Their products were produced in Japan and Korea. They also use top grade adhesive, it didn’t smell and safe to use.

Eyelashes Extension Process

Eyelash Extension was glued a little far from our eyelashes roots so it didn’t make our natural lashes fall out quickly. The Eyelash Extension would stay a least 1-2 month after the process if we really took care of it.  Carragheen also made special treatment product to maintain eyelash extension.

It took one hour to finished my Eyelash Extension with the natural type. The staff cleaned my eyelashes and my eye make up to make sure my eyes was in clean and sterile condition. I almost slept during my eyelash extension process because it didn’t feel hurt at all. The staff told me to let her know if I didn’t feel comfortable. She also gave me step by step explanation of the process. You don’t have to be scared because the process was really comfortable.

After the process done, another staff gave me care tips to maintain my Eyelash Extension. I have to minimize water contact first 24 hours to allow the adhesive to bond fully. I also should avoid excessive water contact and activity like swimming, sauna or water sport at least for 48 hours. She told me I could use eyeliner and eyeshadow but I should avoid using mascara. I should avoid oil-based product to clean my eye makeup and recommended to use the water-based product. I didn’t have to use eyelash curler because there was no need to, it also would break the Eyelash Extention.

After the Eyelash Extension Process

I really satisfied with the result, it looked so natural and beautiful in my eyes. This Eyelash Extension also successfully made people questioning my eyelashes, is it my real eyelashes or a fake one? Ahahhaa and it also made me happy. Eyelash Extension feels heavy at the first time because I did not really use to it, but then I adapted with it. It also reduced my daily time make up because I didn’t have to curler my lashes and use a mascara. I didn’t even use eyeliner because my eyes already pop out.

I had to be careful when I wash my face after I got Eyelash Extension because I didn’t want this Eyelash Extension to fall out quickly. I used a small wet towel to clean my face every day. Two weeks after I got my Eyelash Extension, there was some Eyelash Extension hair fall out, and I thought it was normal. Eyelash Extension increasingly more waterproof after two weeks. After three weeks, the Eyelash Extension still stayed on my eyes and it was still looked curly. I also used a spoiley to comb the Eyelash Extention.

The conclusion

I satisfied with all the process from consultation to the Eyelash Extension process. They really helped me to pick the right shape for my eyes type. The result was so natural and made me want to look at a mirror when I woke up in the morning ahahaha. Carragheen gave their name card and contact so I could contact them if I had a question about my eyelashes extension.

I also did my make up quickly after I got my eyelashes extension. Eyelashes extension stayed almost 3 weeks and more if you really took care of it. I also became more careful when I had to wash my face when I got my eyelashes extension.

I recommended this eyelashes extension before big feast day to enhance your looked. The price for the eyelashes extension was Rp 600.000,00 not included maintenance package products. In the end of it, I was really satisfied and happy, I hope Carragheen will open their branch in Jakarta. Thank you Carragheen SkinCare Boutique 😀 !
